Ghana: GoldStone reports new Homase gold results and prepares pit extensions

LE BRIEF • 2026-10-27

New drill intersections support assessment of planned pits 5 and 6. The results encourage further study but do not yet constitute a new resource estimate or a statement of mineable reserves.

LE BRIEF — Tuesday, 27 October 2026 edition By the LE BRIEF newsroom Country : Ghana Source publication : 26 October 2026 Event : Drilling results published on 26 October 2026. Illustration supplied for this report. GoldStone Resources is continuing to assess the potential of its Homase gold mine in Ghana’s Ashanti gold belt. A regulatory announcement published on 26 October 2026 reports new mineralised intersections from work intended to define future mining pits, particularly zones 5 and 6. The results provide additional information for preparation of the mine plan. Some zones are of interest because they lie close to existing infrastructure, without establishing their final economic viability at this stage. Three highlighted intersections Hole 26MLRC007 intersected 16 metres averaging 1.26 grams of gold per tonne. Hole 26MLRC006 identified five metres at 2.76 grams per tonne. In 26MLRC017, the company reports eight metres at 2.17 grams per tonne, including two metres at 4.04 grams per tonne. These lengths and grades are drill intersections. They will need to be incorporated into further geological and mining studies before they can be translated into additional mineable reserves. Updating knowledge and improving operations GoldStone is considering bringing some pits closer together or combining them to reduce operational constraints, improve waste handling and facilitate m...
